Day Thirty Two - Undecided

Spent a lovely 40 minutes on the treadmill again at a 9 incline. Today I felt like no matter how slow I went, I couldnt get enough air into my lungs. Usually a few really deep breaths will solve this for more, but it just wasnt working today. It was like the air was thin or something. Weird huh? But you know I kept going and finished strong.

Then sometime after that I got all riled up about exercise. I was thinking if the people on Extreme Makeover are exercising 5 hours a day, I can at least do 2. I can do two-a-days if I really have to, if it will really work. I decided to go straight to Jazzercise from work. Put on my still damp and disgusting sweaty clothes and went.

And then I did some more digging. Is there such thing as too much cardio? They do it all day on Biggest Loser, but who knows what goes on behind the scenes. Mathematically it makes sense to me, the more you burn the bigger your calorie deficit. The bigger the deficit, the more you lose. Somehow that is not exactly working for me. Or is there something I can do better? Can I eat better? Should I eat more? Should I eat less?
I dont know any of these answers. I wish it really was just as simple as calories in and calories out.

I lost weight before, about 65 pounds. Exercising far less, and eating more junk. Maybe it is too much? Pretty sure Brent wont accept that...

I hate having to question myself, I hate that I havent found my groove by now.

  1. Unfortunately the groove is a hard thing to find! But you will find it! You're kicking some serious butt and I know it's frustrating to be working that hard and not seeing the results you think you should! However, we all want greater results faster! As far as your calories are concerned, make sure you're getting enough to function on. Make sure that net number is at least 1200. Period. If you notice your losing energy or just feeling blah, kick it up a bit. And just keep on keeping on!!!

  2. but just think, when you do find your "groove" you're gonna be even more on fiyah then you already are now! Just keep going, like the box over there says~~>

    even if you'e not losing pounds, you're getting healthy and doing a wonderful thing for you and your body, eventually the weight will come off like it should. Pinky swear.

  3. You are an exercising wonder! I wish I had that determination. The one thing I've learned in my lifetime of dieting however is that if you are going to exercise a lot then you have to feed the body to keep that metabolism burning. The facts are that if you aren't eating enough the metabolism is going to slow down & so will your burning fat. It is as simple as calories in and out, you just have to get the right numbers. If you use the calculators on myfitnesspal they will give you those numbers and if you stick to those and make healthy choices you definitely will reap the benefits of all the hard work that you are putting in:-)
